The purpose of this statement is to discuss on the impact of the Covid 19 in the realization of the UN 2030 Agenda.Withregard to the theme of the 2021 ECOSOC High Level Segment(HLS)on «Sustainable et Resilient recovery from the Covid 19 pandemic,that promotes the economic,social and environnemental dimensions of sustainable developement:Building an inclusive and effective path for the achievements of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the decade of action and delivery for sustainable developmenet»,my focus will be on the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the economic growth area.I will also build recommendations.

In fact, it is remarquably seen that the whole World is being challenged by the Covid 19 pandemic.The economy has reduced with other bad consequences affecting health likey hunger and relations degradation.For NGOs,the pandemic has inhibited them to mainly deal with their objectives in the achievments of Sustainable Development Goals.Even Governments are mostly preoccupied by such a pandemic.The reduction of the movement of persons and goods has also contributed to poverty.The fact of being in isolation to prevent for the quick propagation of the pandemic is onother element encouraging poverty to attack the World.Here the example of Airports closing should be one of the obvious challenge affecting the economy of any country.

«Many hands make light works».This saying is no longer updated in these days of the covid-19.Crowds are not allowed,and meetings have been reduced privilleging then the online meetings.The later has the impact during the implemention of the closings of those meetings.However,I appreciate the importance manifested States in the prevention of Covid-19 by taking measures to be followed up by Citizens.Let’s talk on the case of Burundi and some of the East African member States,Rwanda privilleged generalized quarantine to avoid widespread of the Pandemic,Burundi introduced measures of bearing masks first and put in a quarantine any person tested positive to covid-19.

To make the story short,Covid-19 is the ennemy of all Nations.As far as I am concerned,I call upon the whole World to consolidate unity by charing experiences related to the pandemic.Citizens sould respect all measures taken by their Governments.The countries that tempted medicines to Covid-19 sould be supported for further reseaches on the treatment rather than preventing them move forward by imposing sanctions on them.People senzitisation by NGOs in the context of accompanying Governenments policies in the implementation of policies related the covid-19 have to be multiplied.In this case,no doubt, Covid-19 will desappear and the Economic growth,will occur.
